Setting up your migration — your questions.
How do I connect my stores?
After booking, your customer area asks for each store's domain and access. We recommend a revocable Admin API token (read scopes on the old store, read+write on the new) — we give click-by-click instructions and a deep link straight to the token page for each store.
Do I have to create an API token, or can I use my login?
Either. An Admin API token is recommended and lets you keep 2FA on. If you'd rather, you can provide a store username and password instead — in which case you temporarily disable 2FA (the form walks you through it) and re-enable it once the migration completes.
I don't have a new store yet — what do I do?
The store-access step has a "Create a new Shopify store" link to Shopify's free trial (no card needed). Set it up, then enter both stores.
Which package should I choose?
Standard DIY if you'll flip DNS and reinstall apps yourself; Complete for order history plus a managed DNS cutover and app reconnection; Concierge for the full app-stack session; Enterprise for multi-store, huge catalogues or custom scheduling. Not sure? The free demo recommends one from your counts.
Can I change my package after booking?
Yes — upgrade any time from your customer area and you only pay the difference; your order keeps its place in the queue.
What scopes should the API token have?
On the OLD store, all read scopes. On the NEW store, read and write scopes. Our verification step checks the tokens live and warns you if the new-store token is missing write access.
Is my password or token stored safely?
Yes — encrypted at rest with AES-256, decrypted only by your engineer, auto-deleted after 30 days, and removable by you at any time from your customer area.
What happens right after I submit my stores?
Your order moves to "store access on file" and enters the queue. You can start the migration when ready; progress streams live in your customer area, and it runs on our servers — closing the page changes nothing.
Can I add tracking or Klaviyo setup during the wizard?
Yes — locked add-on tiles in your customer area (Klaviyo re-wiring, Meta/Google pixel work, CAPI, Signals Gateway) can be added with one click and unlock their setup step instantly.
Do you need access to both stores at the same time?
Yes — we read from the old store and write to the new one in the same run, so both tokens must be valid when the migration executes.
