What "everything" actually means

Fourteen classes of store data, each with its own dependency order and its own way of going wrong:

• Catalog — products, variants and options, with option order preserved
• Media — images and videos re-uploaded and re-attached, not hot-linked to your old store
• Metafields and metaobjects — including reference and JSON types, written after the objects they point at exist, so a reference never resolves back to the old store
• Customers — with marketing consent state and timestamps intact
• Orders — full history, line items and fulfilment records
• Content — pages, blogs and articles with their SEO titles and descriptions
• Navigation and redirects — menus rebuilt, URL redirects carried across
• Theme — the live theme copied, with tracking snippets identified
• Discounts — codes and automatic discounts with their rules and limits
• Markets, locations, shipping and inventory — in the order that makes them resolve

Two things we will not pretend about. Gift card codes cannot be read through any Shopify API, by us or anyone, so outstanding cards are re-issued with identical balances and you get the new codes as a CSV. And apps have to be reinstalled and reconfigured by you — no API exposes another app's settings. Both are on the manual checklist we hand over, not quietly skipped.
